Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both your emotional well-being and your overall health. These benefits do not end when your meditation session ends. Fortunately, it creates a sense of calm and peacefulness and can improve certain medical conditions.
Meditation is, also, useful if you have a medical condition, especially one that may be worsened by stress. There is a growing body of scientific research that supports the health benefits of meditation. Some research suggests that it helps people manage symptoms of conditions such as:
- Anxiety disorders
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Sleep problems
It’s not in your job description to make other people happy but you can show them the way. You can light their path by following your passion, by living with integrity, empathy and kindness and by being present and helpful to those around you. But you can’t make them happy. This is a simple and revolutionary idea that once grasped is difficult to ignore.
