Full-Scope Yoga Every Friday 6-7:30 pm

Poses~ Breathing~Meditation

Full Scope Yoga: A 90-minute class integrating a wide range of Yoga practices. This class is an immersion in meditation, drawing from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and Advanced Yoga Practices (AYP). FullScope

We offer yogis a foundation to enjoy the broad and profound benefits of daily practice. The intention of this course is to aid practitioners in establishing a personalized set of Full-Scope Yoga practices that will ultimately lead to greater clarity, joy, and bliss—expanding and enriching life—both on and off the mat.

The Full-Scope sequence begins with Asanas (postures), and gradually transitions into subtle levels of Being with Pranayama (regulation of breath, expansion of energy), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (deep absorption). Samyama (a combination of Dharana, Dhyana, & Samadhi) is introduced gradually. Yamas and Niyamas (restraints and observances) are addressed in open discussion following the class. This class is held in room temperature.

Yoga Kula Project Welcomes Bobby Napolitano

bobby4Bobby is a certified yoga instructor from Yoga to the People (YTTP). After a year of studying their quick-paced, sweaty “vinyasa” style he began to teach his first classes at YTTP studios throughout New York City. Looking for a dose of “spiritual” yoga, he picked up and moved to Sivananda Yoga Ranch in Monticello, NY. There Bobby learned the traditional Hindu, hatha-raja style as taught by Swami Vishnudevanada. Bobby volunteered in Harlem, at the Urban Yoga Foundation, where he combined elements of the: vinyasa, hatha, and Bikram styles into his classes. Besides working with adults, Bobby worked in “kids yoga” at Democracy Prep Charter School, giving instruction to middle school children ages 11-13. He has taught privately to clients at their homes, building their practice according to personal needs. Bobby hails from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a region known for its ethnic and cultural diversity.

Bhakti Yoga

The Spiritual Heart is a place inside we can’t see, but can surely feel.

One of the paths of yoga is called Bhakti Yoga,

which is the path of the Spiritual Heart.

Bhakti Yoga works with the heart channel to develop Love,

Acceptance and Endless Surrender into something greater.

Another practice that amplifies the Heart channel is Kirtan,

which is the interactive call-and-response art of Singing of the Divine.

With all of us praising the One, our voices connect us and we become an orchestra together.

As we feel the connection with one another,

we can know that we are connected to something greater.

In the feeling of gratitude, we celebrate the beauty of love!

That is Kirtan.
